Lower Pottsgrove approves meeting rules, auctions truck and adopts sewer pollutant limits; rejects and re-solicits electrical bids

Commissioner William Keohane moved to approve Resolution 1357-24, the Meeting Rules of Order, and Commissioner Earl E. Swavely seconded; the motion carried 5-0. The board also approved Resolution 1358-24, authorizing the auction of a 2008 Ford 650 truck via Municibid; Manager Edward C. Wagner confirmed the reserve price is $12,000. Commissioner Robert Mohollen moved and Commissioner Keohane seconded the truck-auction measure, which passed unanimously.
On land-use and infrastructure regulation, Commissioner Mohollen moved to adopt Ordinance 370, which amends Chapter 185 (Sewers and Sewage Disposal) to address special pollutant limitations. Commissioner Swavely seconded the motion and the ordinance was adopted 5-0.
Separately, the board addressed procurement for the Municipal Building and Police Station project. Commissioner Michael McGroarty moved to reject all electrical bids submitted Oct. 7 for that project; the board approved the motion 5-0. Following the rejection, McGroarty moved to authorize MG Architects, Ltd. to solicit new electrical bids; that motion also passed unanimously.
Routine fiscal business concluded the meeting: Commissioner Mohollen moved to approve Warrant #949 for September 2024 and to accept the Treasurer's report for September 2024; both were approved 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
The board did not record any dissenting votes on the listed actions. The township's next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lower Pottsgrove Township Building.
