Union Point council approves 20-home Union Point Junction subdivision for Habitat for Humanity

Clerk Becky Cronic confirmed a maintenance bond covering 18 months will be in place as required for the next phase of construction. Chitwood said the homes will be developed over the next several years and that additional permitting will be completed as phases proceed.
The approval authorizes the developer to begin the next phase of on-site construction under the conditions discussed, including the existing maintenance bond; no additional ordinances or code waivers were recorded in the minutes. The council did not record individual roll-call votes in the minutes, only that the motion passed unanimously.
