The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors on June 25 adopted Resolution 2024‑05 to amend the use of proceeds for its Improvement Revenue Note, Series 2024, and authorized entering a first amendment to the loan agreement with Synovus Bank.
On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Terry Mountford, and “with all in favor,” the resolution authorizing an amendment to the loan agreement and revised project scope was adopted.
Separately, the board approved MRI Construction, Inc.'s Estimate for Dry Retention Flow‑Way Ditch Cleaning adjacent to River Course Holes #6 through #8 in the amount of $173,367.78. On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, the estimate was approved unanimously; District staff stated that loan proceeds will cover drainage projects and that irrigation previously added to the scope included a 10% contingency.
The board discussed sequencing and coordination of drainage work and indicated some easements must be obtained before work begins. The District Engineer reported that drain and inlet cleaning will be scheduled and that sketches and legal descriptions for required drainage easements (including ones behind the Masters, golf and river club areas, and Seaside II) are being prepared for review and transmission to counsel.
Why it matters: The actions reallocate financing and commit to contracted work to address drainage and retention flow‑way maintenance; the approved estimate is the most immediate contracted expense authorized during the meeting.
Next steps: Staff will execute amended loan documents with Synovus Bank, schedule MRI’s work for the approved flow‑way cleaning, and pursue required drainage easements prior to construction.
