Lower Pottsgrove officials seek state, federal help for sewer plant and connectivity for new municipal building

Manager Edward C. Wagner reported that he and Commissioner Raymond W. Lopez met with state Senator Tracy Pennycuick at her district office; Wagner said Pennycuick was meeting with seven municipalities that day and that she “enjoyed hearing about Adventure Grove” and, according to her staff, the project is one people will support. Wagner said the meeting produced productive leads for the township.
Officials also said they are pursuing communications service for the township’s new municipal building. Commissioner Lopez said he is working on opportunities through PEMA and FEMA to obtain Comcast and Verizon service for the new building. Wagner said he and Fred Ebert are reaching out to PennVEST and the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to explore assistance for building a sewer plant in Lower Pottsgrove.
The board did not take formal action on these outreach efforts during the meeting; staff reported ongoing follow-up with the named agencies.
