Broken Bow City Council approves consent agenda, OKs $306,279.75 in payments

The Broken Bow City Council on July 8, 2025, approved its consent agenda during a brief meeting at the Broken Bow Municipal Auditorium. The items approved included the June 24, 2025 meeting minutes, the Bills to Date (listed in the minutes as totaling $217,390.61), the biweekly payroll of $88,889.14, Broken Bow Ambulance Service and Broken Bow Volunteer Fire Department official rosters, and the May 2025 Treasurer's Report, for a grand total of $306,279.75.

Council President Russ Smith called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and announced the availability of the Open Meetings Act before the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilmember Travis Kleeb moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilmember Paul Holland seconded. A roll call vote recorded ayes from Smith, Kleeb and Holland, with no nays, and the motion carried. Shortly afterward, Councilmember Joe Wamsley joined the meeting at 6:01 p.m.

The Bills to Date list in the minutes names multiple vendors and recurring city payments, including a $7,775.00 payment to the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce and various utility, payroll and service charges; the minutes present a consolidated total rather than line-item explanation for each entry.
