The Broken Bow City Council unanimously approved the consent agenda at its May 27 meeting, including the May 13 minutes, bills to date and the April 2025 Treasurer's Report. Councilmembers Russ Smith, Travis Kleeb and Paul Holland voted in favor; Joe Wamsley was absent.
The bills and payroll listed on the consent agenda included itemized vendors and totals showing $103,945.19 in bills, bi-weekly payroll of $75,772.11 (pay period ending 5/21/25), and a grand total of $179,717.30. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Russ Smith and seconded by Travis Kleeb.
On scheduling business, the council voted to move the regular City Council meeting previously scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The motion to reschedule was moved by Travis Kleeb and seconded by Russ Smith; roll-call vote was Smith, Kleeb and Holland—yes.
City Clerk Jennifer Waterhouse pointed out a typographical error on the agenda that listed June 12 as the next council meeting and asked the public to disregard that date now that the council approved June 11. The meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m. following a motion by Russ Smith and a second by Travis Kleeb.
No public hearings, ordinance adoptions, or contested votes were recorded at the meeting.
