North Miami FFA reports national success; board approves international dairy judging trip and accepts robotics grant

Students from the North Miami FFA presented program results to the school board on Nov. 18, 2025 and were recognized for national competition success. Hannah Early and Joannah Wildermuth told trustees they organized and hosted a soil-judging contest and said the chapter placed second nationally in the dairy competition; they thanked several staff members, notably Mr. Jones and Mr. Wildermuth, for support.
The board approved an overnight, out-of-state trip for FFA International Dairy Judging to Scotland and Ireland, scheduled for June 27–July 1, 2026. The motion to approve the trip was made by Mrs. Eckrote, seconded by Mr. Floyd, and carried 6-0.
Separately, Kenneth Hanson reported the district received a Robotics grant that awarded $3,500 for two elementary teams and $7,000 for one middle-school team. The board also recorded donations and approved fundraisers supporting student programs, including a bingo night for MS advisory and a pledge campaign for Color Guard equipment.
Board members congratulated the FFA students and other fall athletes during member comments.
