Hebron outlines combined waterline, paving and culvert projects, seeks single bid opening

Village Administrator Jung‑Han Chen outlined multiple near‑term infrastructure projects during the Feb. 12 Hebron Council meeting and said staff aim to combine the work into a single bid opening.
Mr. Chen said the village is finalizing plans for a waterline replacement on Sugar, Broadway and Wooster Streets. In conjunction with the waterline work, the village is planning paving on Sugar and Broadway and improvements to a culvert that affects the same corridors.
"The culvert improvement project is funded by Licking County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, and the paving and waterline placement projects are coming out of village funding," Mr. Chen said. He added the village is trying to put all of this together into one bid opening and has been talking with the residents affected by the proposed improvements.
Mr. Chen also said the village will be coordinating related scheduling and outreach ahead of the work and noted a Water/Wastewater Committee meeting is scheduled for Feb. 19 to discuss related items.
The council did not take formal action to award contracts at this meeting; staff will return with bidding documents and timelines for council consideration.
