Selectboard extends plowing contract in 2–1 vote; signs transfer-station contract and approves warrants

The Sullivan Select Board on March 2 signed a transfer-station services contract with DM&J, approved prior meeting minutes and the treasurer's warrant, and extended the town’s property plowing contract in a 2–1 vote.
Norman Bamford moved to approve the minutes from the Feb. 17, 2026 meeting and to accept the Treasurer’s warrant; Michael Hosking seconded both motions and each passed 3–0. The board also signed the DM&J contract for transfer-station services as presented; the town manager said he will request a quote to remove trailers on Moose and Libby lanes and scheduled free demo days for May and October.
Gregory Ring raised procedural concerns about how the 2023 public notice for the plowing contract was circulated and said the process appeared to favor the incumbent. Despite Ring’s objections, Bamford moved to extend the contract with Pinkham Property Management as presented; Hosking seconded and the motion passed 2–1, with Ring voting no. The board recorded no amendments to the contract during the meeting.
Other formal actions recorded at the meeting included the board’s approval to adjourn at 7:15 p.m. and a ceremonial presentation of the Boston Post Cane (see separate coverage). No other formal ordinances, code changes or budget adoptions were taken at the March 2 meeting.
