Sullivan Parks and Recreation members confirmed plans this month to advance the town skatepark. At the April 3 meeting, committee members scheduled an April 11 update meeting at 2 p.m. and listed June 20, 2026, for a "Go Skateboarding Day" celebration.
Alex Souza and Bill Procko were identified as primary coordinators for cleanup and logistics; the minutes say Bill will circulate skatepark emails to the Parks and Rec board, the Selectboard and Ray to coordinate next steps. Alex Souza will also consult the Recreation Center committee about using park facilities.
The committee recorded those assignments as actionable follow-ups and asked staff and volunteers to share contact information and outreach lists. The meeting did not record a formal vote on a skatepark budget or grant; funding steps were discussed separately under grants.
The skatepark discussion concluded with scheduling and outreach tasks intended to ready the site for community events and a planned June celebration.
