The Poseyville Town Council on May 13 approved a Subdivision Development Agreement with Hometown Ventures Group after the developer provided an updated Exhibit A and a town representative indicated concurrence with the agreement.
Randy Rankin moved to approve the agreement, and Mike Baehl seconded. The motion passed with Baehl and Rankin voting yes and Council President Justin Rutledge voting no. Council members noted a $10,000 allotment for shared expenses in the agreement and requested the updated Exhibit A be printed with the executed agreement.
Town officials said the agreement had been circulated in advance; a town staff member (Schopmeyer) notified the council shortly before the meeting that he concurred with the agreement as written. No public opposition was recorded during the portion of the meeting covering this item.
Council members said they were optimistic about the project’s potential impact on local growth and thanked staff and the developer for completing the agreement. Clerk-Treasurer Jodie Rankin and Town Attorney William Bender will oversee any necessary publication or filing steps identified in the agreement.
