Enumclaw — The City Council adopted Resolution 1879 on May 26, approving amendments to the city fee schedule that include Parks Department changes and an automatic consumer-price-index adjustment to the school impact fee.
Parks and Recreation Director Alina Hibbs (S5) presented two fee proposals: a lower-cost two-day-per-week swim-team option intended to broaden access, and updates to cemetery fees reflecting sold-out categories and adjusted pricing for mausoleum alcove niches. The cemetery fee changes were brought forward without cemetery-board approval solely to avoid penalizing Weeks Funeral Home for quorum issues, but staff noted council could remand the item to committee if members preferred further review.
Chris (S14) explained that the fee resolution also includes a 3.1% school impact fee adjustment implemented per the CPI formula the council previously approved; the city will evaluate the school district’s capital-facilities plan when it is finalized and return with any recommendation about deviating from the CPI-based approach.
Council moved and voted to approve Resolution 1879; staff will incorporate adopted fee schedules into administrative materials and notify affected parties.
