The council agreed the purchase should be split between the water and wastewater utility funds, noting that Connor would most likely operate the new vehicle.
Before finalizing transfers that included equipment and a laptop, council members asked staff to ensure the laptop is wiped and that master codes or other sensitive access are handled appropriately. A staff speaker said the device could be sanitized and that a master code would be required for deeper access; council asked that the code be provided to authorized personnel only.
A motion to approve the trade-in and purchase was made and seconded; the council recorded passage of Resolution 2026-05 and moved on to adjourn. Staff were directed to complete trade paperwork, implement the agreed funding split, and sanitize any data-bearing devices before transfer.
