Deputy Chief Matthew Perreira reported at the Bolton Fire Commission’s May 18 meeting that the department’s budget has been finalized and that two vehicles — the Rescue Truck and the Tanker — are currently in for service.
Perreira said the Ladder Truck’s nozzle is being repaired through the insurance company; the minutes state the vehicle "is out of service for TN however it is in service for town use." The minutes do not define the term "TN." Perreira also described the last month’s call activity as average, including two fires and two motor-vehicle accidents.
Fire Marshal William Call provided the commission with a summary of recent activities and inspections. Call reported handling a neighbor complaint related to a wood pile, assisting Father at Saint Maurice Church with seat-occupancy questions, attending a CRFMA meeting in Manchester, and performing Knox Box duties. He reported inspections of Sunset Apartments and a Dollar General egress inspection, and that four burn permits were issued with inspection.
Chairman John Morianos asked William Call to consider equipment or supply needs for the next budget cycle; the minutes state that John "confirmed that he wants to make sure that Bill has all equipment or supplies needed to do his job effectively" and that Bill thanked him. The minutes do not include dollar amounts or a detailed budget breakdown.
No public comments were recorded during the meeting.
