The Topeka Town Council voted on Feb. 24 to table consideration of three fence quotes for East Park until the March 24 meeting.
The motion to table the fence quotes was made by Council Member Justin Geigley and seconded by Council Member Ray Folk; the council voted All Ayes. The transcript records that the fence quotes will be revisited at the next Park Council meeting on March 24, 2025.
Council President Adam Lambright also discussed installation of sod at East Park with the Town Manager; the minutes record the discussion but do not include any motion, funding decision, or timeline for the sod work.
Attendee Butch Lehman informed the council that the Diamond League is scheduled to start at the end of April; this was recorded as informational and no formal action was taken.
The meeting closed at 5:16 p.m. after an adjournment motion carried All Ayes. The next Park Council meeting is March 24, 2025, to follow the regular council meeting.
