Council approves security cameras for water plant after tampering report; okays tree removal and sidewalk repairs

After the clerk reported that someone had entered the village water plant and altered equipment settings, Jamie Hohenberger moved to purchase two security cameras for the facility; Mike Medina seconded. The motion carried with Medina, Healy, Hohenberger, Stephy and Valdez voting yes; Jeffery Rothman was absent.
On separate motions the council approved a contract with Cut Above to remove the remaining trees and grind stumps, and approved removal and replacement with stone of sidewalk sections damaged by tree roots. Both motions passed with unanimous support among members present (Medina, Healy, Stephy, Hohenberger, Valdez yes; Rothman absent).
The meeting record does not identify who accessed the water plant, whether police or investigators were notified, or the estimated cost of the security cameras and the two public-works contracts.
