The Director also said the authority hired an events coordinator named Corinne to manage vendor relations and event logistics.
Board members asked about the park redevelopment timeline and possible impacts on the market season. The Director said the park work is tentatively scheduled to begin around Sept. 1, which would allow the market season to run through August as usual.
Under new business a presenter who said they operate a nearby restaurant described a festival layout using the grass area behind their establishment for the stage and sound. The presenter told the board they would seek public‑works approval for parking and related logistics. The board voted to approve the proposed festival dates for June, July and September; Chair recorded the motion and the vote as carried.
