Hobart board approves minutes, claims and agenda; announces State of the City event

The Hobart Board of Public Works and Safety approved routine business items at its April 1 meeting, including acceptance of the minutes from March 18, 2026, approval of the register of claims and payroll claims, and adoption of the meeting agenda. Each motion passed by a recorded 3-0 vote.
Mayor Josh Huddlestun announced that the Common Council regular meeting would not be held that evening and invited the public to his State of the City presentation at the Hobart High School Auditorium (doors open at 5:30 p.m., special recognitions at 6 p.m., State of the City at 6:30 p.m.).
Mayor Huddlestun asked if anyone wished to address the Board; there were no public comments. The Board adjourned the meeting at 3:35 p.m.
