The Village of Fort Recovery council completed routine governance business on Oct. 21, approving prior meeting minutes, reviewing invoices and entering an executive session on employee compensation.
Early in the meeting Cliff Wendel moved to approve the Oct. 7, 2024 meeting minutes; Luke Knapke seconded and the motion passed by unanimous vote. Later, council reviewed invoices and related payment items (checks 33038–33054, then-and-now certificates, electronic payments 749-2024 through 750-2024, and inter-departmental transfers). Luke Knapke moved to approve the invoices as presented; Erik Fiely seconded and the council voted all yes.
Mayor Dave Kaup asked for a motion to enter executive session to discuss employee compensation under Ohio Rev. Code 121.22(G)(1). Erik Fiely moved to enter executive session; Cliff Wendel seconded and the council voted unanimously to go into executive session. The council later voted unanimously to exit executive session; the minutes record that no action was taken following the executive session.
The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m. following a motion by Luke Knapke and a second from Greg Schmitz.
