The Chevelon Butte School District Governing Board discussed a proposed intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Heber‑Overgaard for transportation services during its July 10 meeting.
Ms. Hebert asked that, if possible, buses and drivers remain in house rather than being contracted out under an IGA; the board agreed to investigate the proposal further. Transportation Manager Mr. Burrows gave his final director’s report, noting that bus inspections were completed on July 7, that Bus #23 is in Heber and will be returned to the district office, and that an electrical permit that had lapsed has been granted an extension and the vehicle is ready for inspection.
Board members also set a retreat for Oct. 9 in Blue Ridge from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the regular meeting to follow. The board tabled work on evaluation tools until after the retreat; that item will return to the agenda at the October meeting. The board confirmed the next regular meeting for Aug. 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the district office in Forest Lakes.
