Coconino County Accommodation School District board moves public hearing, regular meeting to Aug. 5

The Governing Board of the Coconino County Accommodation School District approved moving its scheduled public hearing and regular board meeting from Aug. 7 to Aug. 5, 2024, during a special meeting in Flagstaff on July 31.
"President Mango-Paget explained the request for the change of date due to two members of the board attending the Wells Fargo IN2 meeting in Golden, CO," the board recorded. Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen clarified that "the Public Hearing would be held at 9:00 am and the Board Meeting would start at 9:15 am." The board approved both date changes during the meeting.
The changes affect the district’s public hearing, which provides a formal opportunity for public comment on agenda items and district business. Board President Cheryl Mango-Paget said the shift was requested to accommodate members’ attendance at an out-of-district meeting; the board recorded the approvals without a recorded motion maker or second in the minutes.
Dirksen reviewed items scheduled for the rescheduled Aug. 5 meeting. No public comments, presentations, or recognitions were made during the special meeting. President Mango-Paget adjourned the session at 9:39 a.m.; the minutes list the next meeting date as Aug. 5, 2024.
The special meeting was held at the Office of the Coconino County Superintendent of Schools, 2384 N Steves Blvd., Flagstaff, AZ. Virtual attendance was noted from Traci Parker of Tse'Yaato' High.
