Staff asked the commission to continue a recommendation to City Council on proposed zoning changes for accessory dwelling units so staff can address a recent letter from the state Department of Housing and Community Development and additional public comments.
Chance Finley of the planning department said staff will return with revisions and recommended the item be continued to the Aug. 12 planning commission meeting. The commission voted 5-0 to continue the item; staff said public comment already received will remain part of the record.
What happens next: planning staff will revise the proposed ADU ordinance language to address HCD and public comments and return to the commission on Aug. 12 for further consideration.
