Fiscal Officer Sharon Stechschulte told the council that the village’s current utility billing software is scheduled to be retired on Dec. 31, 2026. She and Joyce Fuerst will research alternative billing systems and report back to council; the village must notify its current vendor of its intended direction by June 30, 2025.
Chris Recker, speaking for the Board of Public Affairs, said the BPA did not believe it was in the village’s best interest to approve the Ottawa‑Glandorf School District’s request to dig a well at the district athletic complex for irrigation. The BPA recommendation was recorded in the minutes; the council did not approve the district’s request at the meeting.
An e-mail from the State of Ohio requested a revision to the village’s previously submitted service‑line inventory, and the village must respond by Feb. 19, 2025. Chris Recker stated he will prepare the requested revision.
The council also scheduled installation of an auto‑dialer from Kahle Technologies to notify maintenance contacts when the lift‑station alarm activates. No votes or funding amounts were recorded for software procurement; the meeting recorded deadlines and responsibilities for follow-up work.
