At its Jan. 5 regular meeting, the Gambier Village Council recorded a string of formal actions on routine municipal business.
Ordinance 2026‑01 — which authorizes the Fiscal Officer to make transfers within line accounts in amounts under $5,000 without prior council consent — was adopted after the council declared an emergency and suspended the usual third‑reading requirement. The roll-call recorded unanimous approval.
Council also approved Resolution 2026‑03 to continue the Village’s membership in the Knox County Regional Planning Commission and authorized payment of the membership fee. The council approved a legal‑services agreement with Bailey Law Firm, Ltd., and renewed the Village’s Knox County Chamber of Commerce membership for 2026.
Following an executive session, council approved a one‑time pay adjustment (double-time) for J. Denuit for work performed between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2025. No formal action was taken during the executive session itself.
All roll‑call votes for the listed measures passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
