The Mansfield City Council unanimously approved a slate of appointments for 2025 at its Jan. 13 meeting.
Councilman Brandon Hays moved to appoint Fred Purvis as mayor pro tem; Councilmember Helen Robertson seconded the motion and the council voted in favor. The council approved Brittany Ring as city clerk/treasurer after a motion by Purvis and second by Robertson. The council also approved an appointment naming Mayor Blair Northen as director of public safety, and moved to renew Joe Reitman as city attorney; both motions passed without discussion.
The appointments were presented as a group during the new-business portion of the meeting; the minutes record no objections and show the council proceeding to other routine items after the confirmations.
