The clauses in question state payment and acceptance terms for animals "brought into the shelter by the Middletown Police Department or the Middletown Park Superintendent." Fountain asked that the parties be more specific about which town employees are authorized to deliver animals.
The council did not adopt formal edits to the animal control contract at the July 23 meeting; the minutes record the request to revise language and then the meeting adjourned.
