Glandorf council approves radar speed signs, subdivision expansion and hires part‑time officer in routine meeting

The Glandorf Village Council on May 8 approved several routine measures, including the purchase of two solar‑powered radar speed signs for Main Street, approval of new subdivision phases and a personnel hire.

Council approved a purchase request from Mayor David Dalrymple to acquire two solar‑powered radar speed signs from Kahle Electric at an estimated cost of $10,135. The signs will be installed on Main Street, and if they prove effective the council indicated two more may be placed on Blanchard Ave. Councilmember Brian lnkrott moved to approve the purchase and Kristen Gerding‑Heffner seconded; the roll call recorded all members present voting yes and two members absent.

Developer Bob Sager presented plans for phases 10 (11 lots) and 11 of the Sager Subdivision; council approved the plans with a motion by Zachary Klausing and a second by Dale Warnecke. Councilmembers said phase 10 is expected to begin in early 2026.

Council approved repair work at the fire station after reviewing contractor estimates.
