Bryant also mentioned a post on the Maine Municipal Association (MMA) site about towns charging small trash haulers to use transfer stations; the board decided not to pursue that option. Finally, Bryant showed photos of uniform options and the board discussed providing shirts and a sweatshirt for Transfer Station staff.
Separately, the board discussed Town Meeting preparations and the size of next year’s town report; Bryant warned that a larger report might require bulk mailing and extra fees and trips to Portland, so the town will consider reducing the report’s size to avoid higher costs.
