Premier Lakes told the River Ridge Community Development District Board on June 25 that lakes are in good condition going into the rainy season, but the Board paused a decision on a proposed new irrigation well and referred a littorals removal incident to the district’s Fining Committee.
Alex Kurth, speaking for Premier Lakes, said there was very little algae or submerged vegetation after crews prepared the site for the rainy season and that littorals are scheduled to be installed in about two weeks. He said staff will treat invasives if they reappear and that several noisy aerators will be inspected and reported on at the next meeting. Kurth also confirmed a homeowner’s sound‑box repair behind a house in the Masters had been completed.
PSGRC General Manager Eric Long discussed irrigation and a revised McCullers Construction Services estimate #8 to install a new well for $277,550, noting South Florida Water Management District restrictions and long‑term water‑use reduction goals; the Board took no action on the estimate and the item will be reconsidered. Separately, the Board recommended the Fining Committee review homeowners who removed littorals from Lake E4‑C and to take appropriate action; that referral was approved unanimously.
Operations staff were instructed to check the sound level at Lake E1‑C and Premier Lakes will provide another update at the next meeting. The Board confirmed the next regular meeting date of July 23, 2024, and the district manager said the Lake & Dry Retention Audit Report will be included on the July agenda.
