At the Oct. 24 Broken Bow City Council meeting, Chief of Police Steve Scott presented the official pinning of Police Captain Christopher Anderson and the council accepted the appointment of Officer David Baltz. Chief Scott noted that Anderson has 14 years in law enforcement and has served with the Broken Bow Police Department since 2019.
The council voted to accept Officer David Baltz; City Attorney Jason White then administered the police officer oath. Mayor Rod Sonnichsen and councilmembers congratulated both officers during the Mayor and Council Comments segment before adjourning the meeting at 6:26 p.m.
