After executive session, Cotter board renews two principal contracts and approves six student transfers

The Cotter School District Board renewed two administrator contracts and approved multiple student transfer petitions after an executive session at its Feb. 17 meeting.
The board entered executive session at 7:49 p.m. and exited at 9:10 p.m., after which Superintendent Jones recommended renewal of Airl Cheek's contract as Elementary Principal, Federal Programs Coordinator and 5th/6th grade basketball coach. Jimmy Morgan moved to renew the contract, Russel Duggins seconded, and the motion was approved unanimously.
The board also approved renewal of Jarrod Jefferson's contract as High School Principal; Cameron Ross moved, Jimmy Morgan seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Jones presented petitions for student transfers into the Cotter School District: two students from Mountain Home School District, three from Flippin School District, and one from Yellville‑Summit School District. Cameron Ross moved to approve the transfers, Jimmy Morgan seconded, and the board approved all petitions unanimously.
