Hebron planning board approves accessory-structure, parking and sign variances

The Village of Hebron Planning & Zoning Board approved multiple variance requests and completed routine business at its April 1 meeting.
John and Cathy McCoy’s application for a variance to allow a secondary accessory structure at 134 Hamilton Avenue (Parcel #075-347982-00.000) was approved after a motion by board member Mike McFarland and a second from Randy Wolf. The vote was unanimous.
The board also approved a request from Ohio Valley Cabinets to eliminate the requirement for off-street parking adjacent to the right-of-way for the Arrowhead Boulevard parcel (Parcel #075-345324-00.000). Scott Jacobs moved to approve the parking-variance request and Mayor Valerie Mockus seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, Moore Signs, on behalf of Hendrickson, received approval for a larger building-identification sign at 160 N. High Street (Parcel #075-345324-00.000). Randy Wolf moved to approve and Mike McFarland seconded; the board voted 5-0 in favor.
There were no visitor comments recorded. Economic & Community Development Director Brittany Misner presented the department’s monthly report; the village zoning attorney, David Moser, was absent but emailed a report to Misner that is available on request. The board set its next regular meeting for May 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., and adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
All variance approvals were recorded as unanimous votes by members Stoner, Jacobs, McFarland, Mockus and Wolf.
