After an executive session held Jan. 16, the Cotter School District Board of Education approved a set of personnel recommendations and extended Superintendent Jayme Jones’ contract for three years while keeping his salary at $96,833.00 per year.
The board entered executive session at 7:57 p.m. and exited at 9:25 p.m.; immediately after exiting, Superintendent Jayme Jones presented the Personnel Report. Cameron Ross moved to approve the personnel recommendations and Jimmy Morgan seconded; the motion carried unanimously (9:25 p.m.).
On the superintendent’s contract, Allen Franks recommended a three-year extension for Jayme Jones at the stated salary. Luke Walker moved to approve the extension and Cameron Ross seconded; the motion carried unanimously (9:26 p.m.).
The board also approved one petition for transfer of a student from the Mountain Home School District into the Cotter School District; Jimmy Morgan moved to approve the transfer and Russel Duggins seconded (9:26 p.m.).
Superintendent Jones reported district enrollment of 372 elementary students and 323 high school students, for a total enrollment of 695. The minutes list the approvals and the contract terms as recorded above; no dissenting votes or amendments are recorded.
