Cotter School Board approves 2024–25 budget and state financial report

The Cotter Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the district Annual Financial Report and the 2024–2025 budget at its Sept. 26 regular meeting. Superintendent Jayme Jones presented the reports and recommended board approval.
"I recommend the Board approve the Annual Financial Report and 2024-2025 Annual Budget as presented," Superintendent Jayme Jones said, and the motion, made by Russel Duggins and seconded by Cameron Ross, passed with all members voting in favor.
The board also accepted the Arkansas Department of Education Annual Financial Report for 2023–2024 and the ADE budget for 2024–2025 after a separate presentation by Superintendent Jones. Cameron Ross moved to approve the ADE report and budget; Jimmy Morgan seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the board voted to accept the August financial reports after review; that motion was made by Jimmy Morgan and seconded by Cameron Ross.
No roll-call detail beyond unanimous approval is recorded in the minutes. The board's budget approvals set the spending plan for the coming school year; the minutes do not specify effective dates or line-item allocations. The next routine financial reporting to the board will proceed per the district schedule.
