At the June 23 meeting the Town of North High Shoals council heard two outside presentations that the council said it will review further.
Bob Weatherford of BlueLine Solutions presented the findings of a recent traffic study for HWY 186 in the school zone and told the council it would receive and review a contract regarding traffic control measures there. The presentation was recorded as a special-guest item; no vote on traffic control measures was held during the meeting.
On unfinished business Chris Honeycutt of Bureau Veritas described the firm’s proposed scope of services for permitting and inspections, and noted the town would be provided a sample contract to evaluate a transition; Mr. Wheeler, the previous contact, will be unable to continue because of a family health issue. The council did not take immediate action but will review a sample contract and evaluate how to proceed with a smooth transition if desired.
Both items were presented for council review and future action; the transcript does not record formal contract approvals or specific enforcement measures at this meeting.
