Bayside honors longtime manager, local athletes and swears in two police officers

At its April 17 meeting the Village of Bayside Board of Trustees issued multiple proclamations and administered ceremonial oaths.
State Senator Jodi Sinikyn and State Representative Deb Andraca presented citations recognizing Village Manager Andy Pederson for 20 years of service and honoring Bayside athletes Tom Howell and Koko Walny. Milwaukee County Supervisor Anne O’Connor also presented citations. President Eido Walny read a proclamation recognizing Manager Pederson and the minutes record that the playground at Ellsworth Park has been renamed in Manager Pederson’s honor as a lasting tribute to his service.
Administrative Services Director Rachel Safstrom administered ceremonial swearing in for Officer Michael Budziszewski and Officer Diedrik Hellenbrand. Rob Hansen, Deputy District Director for Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s office, presented additional citations recognizing Manager Pederson and the two athletes.
Those items were presented as ceremonial recognitions; the minutes do not record motions or votes tied to the proclamations themselves.
