Bayside creates 15-mph school zone for when children are present; fence variance request tabled

Separately, the board considered a request before the Board of Zoning Appeals from property owners Ron Brahm and Louis Wahl seeking a special exception to allow a solid cedar fence on the property line between 1055 W Duchess Court and 1021 W Duchess Court contrary to Section 104-125(a)(9) of the Bayside Municipal Code. The board tabled that item for further consideration.
The ordinance and the zoning request were handled under separate agenda items; the ordinance was approved on the record while the fence variance was left unresolved by tabling the request.
