Bayside approves major public-safety grants and Motorola dispatch console purchases

The consent agenda also included awards and purchases funded by external grants: a Firehouse Subs grant for Automated External Defibrillators ($18,910), a CVMIC grant for an all-weather AED at Ellsworth Park Pavilion ($2,000) and a U.S. Department of Justice award for bulletproof vests ($1,227.14).
These grants and purchase approvals were included in a broad consent agenda motion moved by Trustee Ben Minkin and seconded by Trustee Elizabeth Levins and recorded as carried unanimously.
