The Village of Bayside Board of Trustees adopted the 2025 annual budget and established the 2024 tax levy at a village tax rate of $5.40 per $1,000 assessed value following a brief presentation from Village Manager Andy Pederson.
Manager Pederson provided trustees with an overview of the proposed budget and related enterprise fees before the board took formal action. The board approved Resolution 24-23 adopting the 2025 budget and establishing the 2024 tax levy. In the same set of votes, the board approved Resolution 24-21 setting the 2025 residential sanitary sewer user fee at $555 and Resolution 24-22 setting the 2025 stormwater Equivalent Runoff Unit rate at $266.
The votes on the budget, tax levy and the enterprise rate resolutions were made by motion and carried unanimously. Trustees who moved and seconded the budget and related resolutions included Ben Minkin, Bob Rudman, Elizabeth Levins and Kelly Marrazza according to the meeting minutes.
The actions follow a public hearing on the proposed budget and levy earlier in the meeting; no members of the public spoke at that hearing. Manager Pederson told the board that tax bills were expected to be mailed in the second week of December.
No contested amendments or formal dissent were recorded in the minutes; the board’s approval completes the village’s budget-setting process for the coming year and sets the amounts that will appear on village property tax bills for 2024.
