The Town of Gay council on Oct. 14 introduced two ordinances on first reading: a Zoning and Land Use Ordinance and a Development Regulations Ordinance.
The council scheduled public hearings on both ordinances for Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Building. The minutes state the second readings and formal votes are scheduled for the council’s next meeting on Nov. 11, 2024. No substantive debate or votes on ordinance language were recorded at the Oct. 14 meeting; the actions recorded were limited to introduction and scheduling of hearings.
The ordinances, as introduced, will proceed through the town’s normal hearing and second-reading process before any zoning or development regulation changes take effect.
