After weighing cost and future flexibility, the council concluded the less expensive material for the larger, one-sided sign best balances budget and future options; the council noted the sign could be changed later if desired.
Mayor Christopher J. Walker was tasked with contacting bidders, telling them the selected specifications and giving each an opportunity to submit a revised bid. The council will revisit the item at its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting. No formal vote or motion to award the contract appears in the minutes; the record states the council "decided" on the option and assigned follow-up to the mayor.
