Greencastle board holds public hearing on 2026 budget, CPF and bus replacement plan; no public comment

The Greencastle Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees held a public hearing Sept. 22 to receive information on the proposed 2026 budget, the district’s Capital Projects Fund (CPF) plan and the bus replacement plan. Board President Ed Wilson opened the hearing and invited public comment; none was offered and the hearing was closed.
The hearing was informational; no final action or vote on the budget, CPF plan or bus replacement plan was recorded at the meeting. The board’s authorization at the same meeting to advertise an additional appropriation concerns related administrative steps but does not itself adopt a new appropriation.
The transcript records the first reading of a NEOLA special update (July 2025) during new business; no action was taken on the NEOLA update at this meeting. Superintendent Jeff Gibboney introduced Stewart Wenning from Five Star under other business later in the meeting.
