The Statham City Council on Jan. 28 approved a $180 candidate qualifying fee for three council seats and set candidate qualifying for Aug. 20–22, 2025.
Councilmember Patterson moved to approve qualifying fees of $180 for the councilmember seats currently held by Councilmembers Bogenrieder, Patterson and Penn; Councilmember Burnette seconded. The motion passed unanimously, with Terilli, Bogenrieder, Patterson, Penn and Burnette voting yes.
The qualifying period was set to begin Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. and end Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. The action was taken during a brief special-called meeting at the Statham Community Center.
Mayor Krause called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.; City Clerk Nicole Sapp and City Administrator Cheryl Venable were listed as present. After approving the qualifying fee and schedule, Councilmember Patterson moved to adjourn; Councilmember Bogenrieder seconded and the council adjourned at 11:02 a.m.
