Leavitt said the change was prompted by a recent sanitary survey that identified the notification requirement as missing from the plan; Councilmember Candice Barney moved adoption, Perry Payne seconded, and the motion passed unanimously 4‑0.
Separately, the council voted to cancel the June 9 and June 23, 2026 regular meetings and hold a single meeting on June 18 to allow staff time to obtain the county‑certified tax rate needed to finalize the 2026–27 budget (mover: Perry Payne; second: Ryan Johnson; vote 4‑0).
Earlier in the meeting the council approved the May 12, 2026 meeting minutes (mover: Perry Payne; second: Jason Bagley; vote 4‑0). The agenda also included updates on the Mtn View Park pickleball court process and community event planning for the 24th of July parade.
