Whigham council agrees to weekly Hwy 84 mowing schedule, asks city attorney about tiny-home on Sherman Street lot

Mayor Trey Gainous told the council he had received several complaints about roadside grass and proposed that Hwy 84 be mowed at the beginning of each week. He said the city has three mowers and three utility employees and "didn't see why it couldn't be completed by lunch every Monday." The council members agreed to that schedule.
The council also discussed a city-owned property on Sherman Street. Gainous said someone inquired about placing a tiny home on the lot and indicated the unit would fit. The council asked City Clerk Rachel Jenson to consult the City Attorney about how to proceed; no formal sale or lease was approved at the meeting.
Earlier in the session the council adopted the meeting agenda and later adjourned at 9:14 a.m.
