Bolton Fire Commission approves corrected minutes; chief reports new truck arrival and budget submission

Fire Commission Chairman John Morianos opened the Bolton Fire Commission meeting on Dec. 11, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at the Bolton Fire House.
The commission unanimously approved the Nov. 27, 2023 meeting minutes with a correction clarifying budget language. The minutes record that Commissioner Robert Langton noted the Chief’s salary and two possible part‑time positions be added to the payroll line item; the minutes’ amended language states, "This was a mutual decision of the board." The approval motion was recorded as moved by Robert Langton and seconded by Chris Moquin and passed unanimously.
Fire Chief Bruce Dixon reported the department responded to one motor vehicle accident since the prior meeting and to "numerous calls" overall (the transcript does not specify the number). Chief Dixon also said a new fire truck "will be delivered on Friday." The transcript does not specify the calendar date of that Friday. The commission set its next regular meeting for Jan. 22, 2024, and adjourned at 7:15 P.M. on a motion by Chairman John Morianos, seconded by Commissioner Danny Moquin; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
