Bolton Fire reports 43 calls since last meeting; apparatus and SCBA testing scheduled

Fire Chief Bruce Dixon told the Bolton Fire Commission April 24 that the department responded to 43 emergency calls since the previous meeting, including two drug overdoses, one mutual-aid response to Vernon, one brush fire and a trailer fire on I-84.
Chief Dixon said all apparatus have completed pump and DOT testing. Rescue 134 is scheduled for annual service at Firematic on May 15. Hose and ladder testing is scheduled for April 27; SCBA fit testing is scheduled for May 1, with SCBA unit recertification planned for May. Training since the last meeting included a cold-water drill, obstetrics (OB-GYN) training and forcible-entry practice. Dry-hydrant maintenance was underway at the time of the meeting.
The commission also noted upcoming social and procedural dates: the department banquet is scheduled for April 30 and the annual meeting for May 1.
The chief’s report was presented as informational; no operational policy changes were recorded in the minutes.
