Owner Hugo appeared at the meeting seeking retroactive approval. Commission members complimented the sign’s appearance and sizing and discussed that previously approved panel signage applied to the Thomaston Marketplace rather than individual interior suites. Economic Development Director Taylor J. Smith clarified the distinction for the record.
Rev. James McGill moved to approve the COA as presented; Mr. Walter Brown seconded the motion, which carried unanimously according to the meeting minutes. No vote tally by name was recorded beyond the note that the motion carried unanimously.
The approval regularizes the existing blade sign and brings the business into compliance with the commission’s sign review process.
