Toccoa commission approves alcohol license, utility truck and tables Reflections agreement

The City of Toccoa City Commission on Oct. 13 approved an alcohol beverage license for Tokyo Sushi & Steakhouse, authorized the purchase of a 2025 half‑ton Ford F‑150 for the Utilities Department and tabled the Reflections Operation Agreement until Nov. 10, 2025.
Vice Mayor Evan Hellenga moved to approve the alcohol license for Tokyo Sushi & Steakhouse at 620 Big A Road; Commissioner Michelle Jamieson seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Commissioner Gail Fry moved to purchase a 2025 F‑150 for the Utilities Department; Vice Mayor Hellenga seconded, and that motion also passed unanimously.
On the Reflections Operation Agreement, Commissioner Gail Fry moved to table the item to the Nov. 10, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Ron Matheson seconded. The motion passed 4–0 with Commissioner Michelle Jamieson recorded as abstaining.
