Board approves April minutes; staff outreach award and Hoopla usage highlighted

Deb Evans moved to approve the minutes as written and Jenny Adams seconded; the board approved the motion unanimously. The board also formally recognized Amy Crockett for receiving the Utah Library Association Outreach Award and noted the services she oversees, including the weekly Tabiona offsite library service, monthly services to Duchesne County Jail and Altamont, and the weekly Homeschool Hour during the school year.
Director Daniel Mauchley reported that Hoopla had a record month with over 800 circulations and that summer reading kickoff events were successful; he said the library budget is on track for the year. A planned discussion with Myton Mayor Linda Harrington on potential shared services was postponed and will be rescheduled. The board set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. at Roosevelt Library and adjourned at 5:04 p.m.
